Monday, Oct. 31 Edmond FFA students along with two of their teachers brought a petting zoo of farm animals to Clyde Howell . Farm day was a culminating activity for Clyde Howell students at the end of their study of the farming community and the dependence we have on them for our daily needs.
Students were able to experience the animals with all their senses as they moved around the pens touching animals such as a cow, sheep, horse, goat, and pig. Learning to rope a practice dummy was a big hit. After meeting the animals up close students returned to class to document their experiences in their journal. Farm day also included a barn dance dinner and a barn dance around a pretend campfire. It was a memorable day for all!
